To foster a love of music.
To encourage questioning, conversation, and artistic/personal exploration.
To have our studio (the physical space) and music lessons (the time and space) be a safe place for all people of any age, ability, or identity – a place where students can feel cared for and valued.
About the Studio:
Our studio houses our beloved grand piano, a gorgeous Kawai from 1966.
We are family-run by the two of us (Sophia and Sam), along with our 3-legged cat MagnifiCAT.
Our studio is a place for students with any level of experience.
We center the needs and interests of our students individually.
We host recitals and showings for our students and their families and friends.
We believe in the transformational power of music and art.
We are professionally performing and working musicians who trained at Indiana University Jacobs’ School of Music, Peabody Conservatory, and Manhattan School of Music.
We have performed internationally and nationally at venues such as the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, Jazz at Lincoln Center, National Sawdust in Brooklyn, NY, and Carnegie Hall.
We have taught students of all ages and all levels, including at the college and professional level.
